APPLETON MD2SR 30, 60 and 100 Amp Series Interlocked Receptacles

MD2SR Factory Sealed Interlocked Switched Receptacles are designed to provide short circuit protection in 30, 60 and 100 Amp versions. The internal, factory sealed switch provides safe and reliable power for hazardous, damp and corrosive environments. They are typically used for applications that require portable or fixed heavy duty equipment. A special polarization option prevents the insertion of a plug into a receptacle or connector that is wired for a different voltage.

Features

Class J fused version: short circuit withstand rated to 200,000 RMS symmetrical amperes
Unfused version: short circuit withstand rated to 10,000 RMS symmetrical amperes
Positive polarization; only plugs of the same style, number of poles, and Amperage rating may be used with these receptacles
Plug must be inserted into the receptacle before the switch can be turned on. Plug cannot be withdrawn unless the switch is in the off position
Insulated, dual-color polymer operating handle clearly indicates the switch being energized. Ergonomically designed handle is made of high-impact polymer material for exceptional ruggedness, durability and corrosion resistance
Unit is equipped with defeatable door interlock which allows emergency access when switch is energized
Operating handle can be locked in the OFF position with provision to lock in the ON position. Cover can be padlocked closed
Style 2 (shell and extra pole) grounding
Removable hinged cover and key-hole mounting feet allows for easy installation and maintenance
Conduit entry is drilled and tapped to 1-1/2#8221;. Reducer bushings 1-1/2#8221; to 1-1/4#8221; and 1-1/2#8221; to 1#8221; provided at no additional cost
Accommodates #8 – #4/0 AWG copper wire
UL Listed for use with Appleton Powertite™ ACP plugs
